Knowledge Share Description
Cannabis and its history is a complicated yet incomplete puzzle—this ancient plant has traveled the globe, but knowledge of the plant itself and how it moved from culture to culture has been distorted by colonial perspectives and the erasure of Indigenous and Black voices. In this knowledge share, Mennlay will walk you through the steps of cannabis infusion and share her research on the understudied history of cannabis in Africa and Latin America. A chance for us to reconnect to this ancient plant and the power of plant magic.
Join Mennlay to learn how to infuse and celebrate the historical ties of cannabis and cuisine. Become a master at cannabis infusions with butters and oils while calculating proper dosages to make perfectly-dosed dishes from the African diaspora.
